Collection: Bag of Blooms

Something familiar made one of a kind.

These are Trader Joe's tote bags — the ones already in your car, your kitchen, your life. Taken one at a time into the studio, painted by hand with botanicals, and sent back out into the world as something entirely their own.

Wildflowers. Fern fronds. Seed pods. Vines. Each design comes from the garden and lands on canvas with a brush. No screens, no prints, no two the same.

This is not a mass-produced thing. It is a very small thing, made slowly, one bag at a time.

Everything I make begins in the same place — a walk, a garden, a hedgerow, a field at its peak. The natural world has always been my subject and my obsession, and I have never found just one way to honor it. So I use many — fused glass, watercolor, acrylic, pressed botanical, cyanotype — each medium finding something the others cannot, each one another attempt to hold what is always, inevitably, passing. The world is endlessly beautiful. I intend to keep saying so.
