Collection: Cyanotype Prints

Each piece begins in the field — hands among cedar, ferns, queen anne’s lace, poppy, clover and lavender, gathered at the height of their blooming and laid directly onto light-sensitive paper. What the sun burns away, the blue keeps. Every print is unique, unrepeatable, a single moment of light and botany fixed in time.

Everything I make begins in the same place — a walk, a garden, a hedgerow, a field at its peak. The natural world has always been my subject and my obsession, and I have never found just one way to honor it. So I use many — fused glass, watercolor, acrylic, pressed botanical, cyanotype — each medium finding something the others cannot, each one another attempt to hold what is always, inevitably, passing. The world is endlessly beautiful. I intend to keep saying so.
